What will your donation be used for and what is our immediate goal?

Initially, funds will be used to outfit (buy equipment / lease or purchase a shop space and  pay for services such as electrical work etc) the legacy artisanal craft furniture facility that will employ aboriginal street artists (primarily) and generate an ongoing revenue stream with which Children of Trauma Society may provide cutting edge therapeutic treatment for those who are judged likely to benefit from talk therapy and / or psychedelic assisted therapy but who lack the funds to pay for such treatment.

Below is a list of equipment etc needed to outfit the artisan craft furniture facility. Originally I was contemplating leasing a shop space but why throw money away when one can buy an industrial unit (to be held in the society’s name). Any donations received in order to meet our immediate goal (for equipment, setup etc) will be held in the Children of Trauma account at Royal Bank Canada. Any funds raised over and above that total will be managed by Odlum Brown Ltd (one of Canada’s “top drawer” wealth managers) in an account under the Society’s name. These invested funds, as well as all after tax profit from the legacy project will be available for PTSD treatment as requests arise.

When available, all financial / tax statements will be posted on this web site for donor inspection.

Following is a list of equipment etc needed to outfit the legacy artisan craft furniture shop that will be used to generate income on an ongoing basis so Children of Trauma Society can be self supporting in future. Note: all funds are in CAD
